Midwestern winters can be incredibly harsh on the skin. Lotions, moisturizers, creams, and such are important purchases for our long and dry winters. I have probably tried more hand lotions than anyone I know. I get pretty desperate with my hands during the winter, especially when kids get sick and there is even more hand-washing and cleaning around the house.
I have finally come across a few good hand lotions and creams, but nothing that completely gets rid the dry skin on my hands. (Let me know if you want me to share my favorites!)
Because I have spent most of my time researching hand lotions, I have never had a high quality face cream. Previously, I just picked a paraben-free face lotion and called it good….but it really wasn’t quite good enough for our harsh winter weather.
I was excited to have the opportunity to try out the New Voupre Skincare Collection. I got to pick from the following collections: Thermal Collection, Cannabis Collection, Aqua Collection. I knew I needed to try the Aqua Collection to help out with my dry skin. The Aqua Collection is designed to moisturize, soften, and smooth out skin texture.
As stated on the website, Voupre products are dermatologist approved, paraben-free, and are never tested on animals. It seems that the quality of the ingredients in Voupre is important and is key to making it a high quality product.
I have to say I have never tried such a top of the line skin product. This product is pricey and not in my budget, so it was nice to have the opportunity to try such a high-quality product.
Because I have not tried such a high quality product before, I was curious if I would be able to tell the difference. I can definitely say I did. I used the Aqua Nano Cream just once and could tell it was not even comparable to the face lotion I was using previously.
The Voupre Aqua Collection is a multi-step system that includes the following four steps:
Step One: Microneedle Roller (0.3 mm)
Step Two: Aqua Melting Mask (100 g / 3.52 oz)
Step Three: Aqua Hydration Serum (30 ml / 1 oz)
Step Four: Aqua Nano Cream (50 g / 1.76 oz)
The website uses the words “silky smooth sensation” with the Aqua Collection and I have to say I agree.
Step 1 includes using the 0.3 mm microneedle roller. This was a new and interesting product for me. It helps to promote blemish free skin, so I’m all for that. It seems that these DIY hand-held microneedling devices (also known as derma rollers) are becoming more popular. Voupre shares some of the benefits of microneedling here.
The microneedle roller directions included: Cleaning the face and then gliding the roller across targeted areas without applying too much pressure. They also stress that it’s important to sterilize the derma head before and after each use. I must admit I didn’t know exactly how the microneedle roller was to be used or how often it should be used. More on that below.
Step 2 includes the Aqua Melting Mask. This was simple to use. I like that it was a mask that didn’t need to be wiped or rinsed off. The directions say to simply apply to clean face and neck, leave on for 10 minutes, and then massage into skin.
Step 3 includes the Ultra Hydration Serum. Step three and four included my favorite products as they just take a few seconds to apply and that fits well into my life as a mom. Any skin care regimen must be quick and easy! With the Ultra Hydration Serum and Aqua Nano Cream, my skin can go from feeling dry to nicely moisturized in just a few seconds. Both products are smooth and easy to apply.
Step 4 includes the Aqua Nano Cream. I enjoyed the subtle and pleasant scent of the Aqua Nano Cream. It’s also in a convenient tub that would travel well. This product is very easy to add into your morning routine.
The skin on my face can be sensitive. It reacts to some products, especially around my eyes. When I buy a product, I never know whether or not it will work for me. I was happy that the Voupre Aqua Collection worked well with my skin and I didn’t have any negative reaction.
Before I decided to try the Aqua Collection, I took a look at the ingredient list. The ingredients in my skincare is important to me. The first ingredient I typically look for is parabens. If it includes parabens, it’s not the product for me. I was happy that the Aqua Collection is paraben-free.
The products include ingredients such as organic coconut oil, vitamin E oil, dragon fruit extract, soluble collagen, pomegranate fruit extract, sun flower seed oil, grape fruit cell extract, sweet almond oil, organic rosemary leaf extract, organic rosa canina fruit extract, and more.
The Aqua Collection was a fun package to receive and get to try out. The products were beautifully packaged and I can actually see more uses for the fancy and sturdy box the products came in. The presentation was stellar and the products definitely didn’t disappoint.
If there was one thing missing from the fancy Voupre box, it was a bit more information about the microneedle roller. Maybe everyone knows how to use a microneedle roller? I had to look around online to learn a bit more about how to use it. I came across many people who raved about how great microneedle rollers are, I just felt like I needed a bit more information before I actually used it on my face.
Voupre states that there are results within 1 month. I know that I will enjoy using the products as our long, long, (way too long!) winter drags on. :) (Can you tell I’m not a huge fan of winter?)
