Over the past few years, my mornings have varied drastically. Some mornings I wake up well over an hour before my children. Some mornings I wake up with them.
I can definitely say it’s a much better start to the morning if I can steal away at least a few quick minutes alone!
If I only have a few minutes in the morning, I choose carefully how I spend it. It’s often coffee and a quick devotion. Both help to power me through the day. The delicious coffee gives me the caffeine I crave. Spending a few minutes in God’s Word can help me to start the day off with more perspective and patience.
The morning sets the tone for my entire day. If my morning starts off chaotic and I already feel behind, it can be hard to catch up. Can you relate?
Whether you have a strict morning routine or a flexible non-routine, try to be intentional with the first minutes of your morning. It may help you feel more productive, rejuvenated, and/or more prepared for your day!
Find a quick habit or two that makes sense for your life. Not everyone’s mornings will look the same and that is obviously OK. (Example: I would never spend my first few minutes in the morning throwing a meal in the crockpot. While I would thank myself at dinnertime, that is the last thing I want to do right away in the morning! Hand over the coffee instead!)
Set aside a few minutes to start your day off with an activity that leaves you refreshed and ready for the day.
Here are over 30 daily habits to add to your morning routine:

No matter how I start my morning, my mainstay is coffee. Regardless of anything else going on in the morning, I try to steal away at least a few minutes quietly sipping my coffee.
Adding Dunkin’ Donuts Extra Extra creamer makes the start of the day just a bit sweeter. Made with real cream and real sugar, Dunkin’ Donuts Extra Extra creamer gives your coffee the boost it needs to get you through the day. It’s now available in a variety of new flavors.
My morning coffee is a highlight of my morning! The first sip is always the best. (Some evenings when I look at my coffee maker, I get excited about drinking coffee the next morning.)
Find a daily habit or two to help you start your day with energy and propel you into tacking the challenges of the day. If coffee is a part of your morning, try Dunkin’ Donuts Extra Extra creamer so it can keep you going throughout the day.
Whether you have 5 minutes or 2 hours, combine a few of the habits above to create your morning routine. If any of the tasks are hard for you to do, commit to doing it for every day for a few weeks. Pretty soon it will feel like a habit and it may no longer feel like a struggle!
